A time to celebrate all things Ukulele!

In the vast South Pacific Ocean, Norfolk Island is identified by its natural beauty and majestic Norfolk Pines along with a unique Polynesian blend of culture, language, music and history. Join us on Norfolk Island at the Autumn Uke Festival 2021 and experience our distinctive Norf’k Yuukalieli (Ukulele) sound. Uke players and musicians of all levels of ability are invited to attend and join with the Norfolk musicians.

Norfolk Island Ukulele Festival

Uke players and musicians of all levels are invited to attend. The “cultural stew” of Aussies, Kiwis and Maori singers, join with Bounty Pitcairn descendants with their unique culture, Norf’k language songs and Island dancers.

Enjoy playing at scenic locations – a boat trip on Emily Bay, the Kingston historical area of the Penal settlements and on Norfolk’s only roundabout. Besides interesting workshops and Island rhythms, invitations will be given to perform at the Hospital, White Oaks, School, Churches and the local markets. Each country will also be invited to show their talents at the Ukulele Showcase night.

Testimonial Comma 01
I must say, we had a wonderful time and we could not fault any of the travel arrangements, Uke Festival, warm welcoming, friendly people or the fabulous meals served to us. We rate our experience there as one of the highlights of our lives. A very special one at that.

Terms and Conditions

Prices are current, subject to availability & change without notice up until time of final payment and ticketing is completed– Travel insurance strongly recommended

Conditions/Cancellation penalties

Deposit $200 per person

Norfolk Island Travel Centre would like to advise that our booking conditions have been reconsidered for those travelling as part of the Autumn Ukulele Festival event in light of the current worldwide COVID19 pandemic. Normally your $200 deposit is non-refundable, however if prior to final payment date of 18 January 2021 you are prevented from travelling due to either a COVID travel ban or event cancellation due to COVID your $200 deposit can be applied to the next year’s event or will be refunded. Please note cancellations for any other reason will incur our standard booking conditions and cancellation policy.

Final payment

Full payment is due prior to 18 January 2021. Our package prices are based on bulk purchase airfares with Air New Zealand. These fares have conditions that include final payment being completed no later than 90 days before travel. Airfare is subject to change up until time of ticketing and is non-refundable after issue. Changes are permitted until day before departure however date/route changes can only be made within 7 days travel dates either side of your original booked travel dates. Amendments, upgrades and name changes are NOT permitted within 24 hours prior to departure. Payment of a change fee (per passenger) applies plus any applicable upgrade fees to cover the difference between the original fare and the new fare. Accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel. Within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect you in some instances for unforeseen cancellation.

Cancellation after final payment and ticketing as a result of Covid19

After final payment, and in the event of a lockdown of the Island or border closure from your destination it is unknown how Air New Zealand will handle issued tickets, however it is likely they will do as they have for other affected Covid19 bookings to date and hold your tickets over as a credit for next year’s Autumn Ukulele Festival event only. Please note Air New Zealand will not provide a refund.   Similarly, we would expect accommodation and car hire partners to respond in the same way by holding your bookings as a credit to be used next year. Usually, accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel and within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply.

Payment Options

Prices shown are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated (New Zealand prices indicated by NZ$ prefix). Prices are valid for payment by personal or bank cheques or by direct deposit into Norfolk Island Travel Centre client trust account.
