Dr Sylvia Ditchburn
Dr Sylvia Ditchburn is well known for her vibrant tropical and desert Australian landscapes.
Exhibiting for more than 40 years with over 55 solo shows throughout Australia and many group shows internationally in Russia, China, France, Italy, New York and Budapest. Sylvia is formally trained in fine art, and has over 50 art awards and commendations. Her work is held in public and private collections. Working mostly en plein air, crisscrossing Australia in search of subjects for her paintings, Sylvia’s art reflects the ambiance of natural environments and sense of place.
With a maximum size of 12 painters + partners, Sylvia is now taking bookings for her October 2020 Norfolk Island trip
Partners & Friends who do not wish to participate in the painting workshop are very welcome to come along; there is plenty to do on beautiful Norfolk Island whilst painters are out in the field.

Terms and Conditions
Conditions apply. Please note prices are subject to minimum group number of 8 travellers, the group bookings will not be booked until the minimum number is met.
Prices are indicative and will be confirmed once all aspects of the workshop are booked after meeting minimum numbers. All prices are subject to availability and subject to change up until time of final payment and ticketing is completed.
Deposit $200 per person
Norfolk Island Travel Centre would like to advise that our booking conditions have been reconsidered for those travelling as part of the En Plein Air Sylvia Ditchburn event in light of the current worldwide COVID19 pandemic. Normally your $200 deposit is non-refundable, however if prior to final payment date of 28 July 2021 you are prevented from travelling due to either a COVID travel ban or event cancellation due to COVID your $200 deposit can be applied to the next year’s event or will be refunded. Please note cancellations for any other reason will incur our standard booking conditions and cancellation policy.
Full payment is due prior to 28 July 2021. Our package prices are based on bulk purchase airfares with Air New Zealand. These fares have conditions that include final payment being completed no later than 90 days before travel. Airfare is subject to change up until time of ticketing and is non-refundable after issue. Changes are permitted until day before departure however date/route changes can only be made within 7 days travel dates either side of your original booked travel dates. Amendments, upgrades and name changes are NOT permitted within 24 hours prior to departure. Payment of a change fee (per passenger) applies plus any applicable upgrade fees to cover the difference between the original fare and the new fare. Accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel. Within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect you in some instances for unforeseen cancellation.
Cancellation after final payment and ticketing as a result of Covid19
After final payment, and in the event of a lockdown of the Island or border closure from your destination it is unknown how Air New Zealand will handle issued tickets, however it is likely they will do as they have for other affected Covid19 bookings to date and hold your tickets over as a credit for next year’s En Plein Air Sylvia Ditchburn event only. Please note Air New Zealand will not provide a refund. Similarly, we would expect accommodation and car hire partners to respond in the same way by holding your bookings as a credit to be used next year. Usually, accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel and within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply.
Prices shown are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated (New Zealand prices indicated by NZ$ prefix). Prices are valid for payment by personal or bank cheques or by direct deposit into Norfolk Island Travel Centre client trust account. If you prefer to pay by Visa or Mastercard please note credit card surcharge of 1.5% applies to AUD prices.
