More than 15 events will be held between 8-15 August 2020 to celebrate 75 years of peace in the Pacific.
See event program below.
Norfolk Island's Contribution to the War Effort
Norfolk Island contributed greatly to the world war efforts with the highest per capita personnel involvement in the Commonwealth nations of the world for both WWI and WWII.
The island was a key contributor as a forward base for aircraft and the New Zealand Army, as one of the links in the supply chain to activities happening further north, and also as a hub for radio and radar transmissions to assist the allies with primary intelligence on ship locations, movements and strategies.
We highly recommend purchasing the additional Pacific Peace 75th Anniversary Package – $550pp. Package includes:
PACIFIC PEACE WELCOME DINNER
Join us for a delicious three-course dinner accompanied by light entertainment inspired by the swinging Big Band era.
COMMEMORATIVE CHURCH SERVICE
Held at All Saints Church, Kingston. Join Norfolk Island families to pray and give thanks to those that served and returned and to pay respect to those that did not return.
Relive the camaraderie of war time over a three course dinner with fare that you’ll fondly remember. Come dressed in that era’s period attire. Listen to stories from the era and enjoy a short show that’ll bring tears to your eyes.

Pines were planted and dedicated to the families of those who were killed in conflict. After the dedication we will enjoy socialising with a morning tea.
LUNCH AT THE RSL CLUB

RSL MEMORABILIA DISPLAY
Visit a fascinating display of RSL memorabilia in the Supper Room at Rawson Hall. RSL members will guide you as you view the artefacts of the era.
