Event Details
Unfortunately this event has been postponed until January 2022.
Archaeological evidence from Emily Bay indicates that there was a Polynesian settlement between c.1150CE and c.1450CE.
The Polynesians left behind obsidian (volcanic glass) from the Kermadec Islands. Banana trees and canoe remains were also found by the first European settlers.
Norfolk Islanders are proud of their Tahitian heritage and this has been passed down in music, food, arts and language to present day.
This festival celebrates all things Polynesian on beautiful Norfolk Island!
