Join Ian Rolfe as we welcome him back to Norfolk Island for his 20th trip. He is not only a wonderful friend to the island but also knows the greatest places to follow the sun and stars around the island to get that perfect shot.

Workshop Destination: Norfolk Island

The small group size allows Ian to give maximum tuition time to each photographer no matter their prior experience or skill level. This workshop is open to all levels of photographer, from beginner to advanced.

Your Workshop Instructor: Ian Rolfe

As a professional photographer with 50 years experience, Ian Rolfe has brought his passion for 'lightscapes' all over the world. Specialising in landscape, seascapes and fine art imagery, Ian's passionate approach to what light does to the landscape is evident in his photographs.

Ian has travelled throughout the world and has an extensive photo library used in travel brochure work and stock libraries. His first photo column appeared in the ‘Photo-master’ magazine some 20 plus years ago.  Since then, he has written over 150 published articles, produced 3 books and captured an extensive catalogue

His photographs have been purchased by such institutions as: The National Library of Australia, The British Museum, The BBC, The National Park Service, The ABC, SBS, Qantas, Australia Post, French Geographic, Microsoft, Fairfax media, The Victorian Government, Lonely Planet, Flight Centre, Time Magazine, Mobil Exxon and Disney.

Ian is an associate member of the Australian Institute Professional Photographers and a ‘Grand Master’ of the Australian Photographic Society. Ian has been awarded the distinction 'Artiste' from the International Society of Photographic Art, as well as a medal for special services to the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies, which he currently resides over as President.

Ian has visited Norfolk Island on numerous occasions. He knows all the best locations and times for wonderful photography. There will be early morning and dusk 'magical light' opportunities at country roads, farmland, historic buildings, coastline, mountains and rainforest. You’ll have over 30 photographic sessions with Ian, as well as evening Photoshop sessions and image critiquing.

Terms and Conditions

Prices are a guide only, subject to change and availability, and are in Australian Dollars. Prices are correct as of 13 November 2023. Please check all prices, availability, fees, conditions and information with your travel agent before booking.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is due upon booking: $250 per person if booking prior to 12 December 2023; or $1000 per person after this date. Airfare may be required at time of booking to commit to Qantas booking terms and conditions.

Final Payment: Final payment is due: 26 April 2024. Payment can be made by personal or bank cheques or by direct deposit into our Commonwealth Bank account. If you would prefer to pay by Visa or Mastercard, please add 1.5% to the total cost of your holiday package.

Changes & Amendments: Changes can be made up to 48 hours (notification business days only) prior to departure at a change fee of $200 per person plus any applicable upgrade fees, subject to availability.

Cancellation: Airfare is subject to availability and non-refundable after issue. Accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel. Within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply.

We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect you against some unforeseen cancellations.
