On arrival be transferred to Aloha Apartments in the heart of the Burnt Pine shopping area.   Aloha Apartments offers a comfortable and convenient “home away from home” experience on Norfolk.  Strategically situated in the heart of Burnt Pine\, Norfolk Island’s main shopping and cafe district\, Aloha Apartments boasts an excellent central location. Guests can easily walk to clubs\, shops\, cafes\, restaurants\, and supermarkets. Despite being in the bustling town centre\, the apartments are set on private\, landscaped grounds\, offering a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Your guide will share the latest information on the island’s ethnic groups\, nationalities and languages spoken\, including the Norfolk Island indigenous language. Hear how and where islanders are born\, educated\, find work and careers\, attend their various churches\, are cared for in advancing years and eventually accorded free burial in a carefully tended community graveyard. Held on the shores of Emily Bay as the sun rises over the lagoon\, the service offers a poignant and intimate setting for remembrance. The gentle lapping of waves and the silhouette of the island’s own Lone Pine in the distance create a powerful atmosphere for reflection on the sacrifices made by service men and women\, including the many Norfolk Islanders who have served in various conflicts. Norfolk is a mecca for keen lawn bowlers – with a welcoming local club and a Pacific Island backdrop why wouldn’t it be? \n \nOf all events the Norfolk Island Bowls Club’s annual events\, the Bounty Fours Bowls Tournament is much loved.  An open fours competition\, teams can be men\, women or mixed. Norfolk Island is a popular lawn bowls destination and unlike some other clubs the greens remain open all year round. Norfolk Island makes the most of the climate by hosting tournaments throughout the year including this most popular and long-standing tournament. \nWhile bowlers come to participate in the tournament\, almost as importantly they also come to enjoy a holiday. Tours\, shopping and attractions are slotted in between or after their time on the greens. \nWith the club located in the centre of town all visitor needs are just a few minutes walk away including shops\, cafes and island touring. Craig’s career began by entering a local talent competition in his home town where he took out the overall title. From there he continued on the awards circuit taking out a number of tittles throughout NZ. \nCraig has become well known for his high energy entertaining performances making him popular at festivals throughout New Zealand and Australia. With his band “The Rustlers\, Craig is a popular act and Norfolk Island is delighted to welcome him back to where he once represented New Zealand in the Trans Tasman Country Music Awards. \nHis second album “Yesterdays Today” is a tribute to the classic country songs that he grew up listening to. Craig toured New Zealand on release of both of these albums along with shows in Australia. \nThe Rustlers \nThe Rustlers – Bevan Gardiner and James Davy  have been entertaining audiences together for 17 years in various bands around New Zealand.  James started playing guitar at age 12. He spent 10 years as a freelance musician in Auckland working with artists such as Dave Dobbyn and Rikki Morris before moving south. \nBevan started playing guitar at age 6\, singing from age 10 and drumming from age 18. He has toured the show “take Me Home” the music and life of John Denver around NZ and Australia many times. Once in Sydney you’ll need to clear customs and security before you catch your Norfolk Island flight. Wutawieh? Welcome to Norfolk! On arrival be transferred to the Paradise Hotel & Resort. The Paradise Hotel & Resort is a popular 3.5-star resort nestled in 11 acres of beautifully landscaped subtropical gardens. The Garden Rooms are located on both the ground and first floors with many on the ground floor boasting a private terrace to enjoy the hotel gardens and swimming pool.
