Theatre Lovers, performers and spectators are invited to indulge their passion for drama at the annual Norfolk Island Theatre Festival – Theatre in Paradise.

Norfolk Amateur Theatrical Society (NATS) will be hosting their 20th annual Theatre Festival “Theatre in Paradise” from 01 October 2017. This Festival is increasingly popular with visiting companies from Australia and New Zealand who compete for a number of valuable prizes and the coveted Trans-Tasman Trophy for the Best Production.

All plays performed are 20 minutes duration, maximum of three plays per group and all groups are eligible for all main prizes.  Entries are judged by a visiting Adjudicator, who offers constructive feedback on each performance to actors and directors alike.  The Festival also includes workshops at which participants can enjoy new theatre experiences. In 2017 the Adjudicator will be from Australia.

A registration fee of AU$20 per 20 minute play, is additional to the cost of holiday package prices and is payable direct to N.A.T.S. (Norfolk Amateur Theatrical Society).

Conditions / Cancellation Penalties

Departing Australia - Please note full payment is now due upon booking. Airfare is subject to availability and non-refundable after issue. Changes are permitted until day before departure however date/route changes can only be made within 7 days travel dates either side of your original booked travel dates. Amendments, upgrades and name changes are NOT permitted within 24 hours prior to departure. Payment of a change fee (per passenger) applies plus any applicable upgrade fees to cover the difference between the original fare and the new fare. Accommodation cancellation penalties apply within 90 days prior to travel. Within 60 days of travel, up to 100% cancellation fees may apply. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect you in some instances for unforeseen cancellation.

Departing New Zealand - Please note full payment is now due upon booking. Airfare is subject to availability and non-refundable after issue. NB: Auckland/Norfolk Island flights are subject to final regulatory approvals. Norfolk Island Airlines have advised they anticipate there will be no issues in obtaining and finalising these, we will advise as soon as we receive notification from the airline. Our recommendation is to book now to secure these limited event airfares. In the very unlikely event that the regulatory approvals aren’t received before you are due to fly we would refund your airfare. Prices are subject to availability and subject to change up until time of final payment and ticketing is completed. Airfares are non-refundable after issue. Prices shown are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated (New Zealand prices indicated by NZ$ prefix). Prices are valid for payment by personal or bank cheques or by direct deposit into Norfolk Island Travel Centre client trust account. If you prefer to pay by Visa or Mastercard please note credit card surcharge of 1.5% applies to AUD prices. For NZ$ packages paying by Visa or Mastercard, the transaction will be converted to AUD (amount reconfirmed to you on the day of the transaction) and processed via our AUD merchant facility.
