If you’ve booked or enquired about travel for events such as Foundation Day, Veterans Golf, Ballroom Dancing, Scrabble or Folk History – or travelled with a Probus Group – then you’ve very likely met or communicated with Debbie Steven!
She’s one of the friendliest faces in an office of friendly faces and she’s known for her infectious and easy laugh. Debbie’s passion for Norfolk comes from meeting husband Les on the island 30 years ago and settling and raising their two children here. Her sense of fun is well summed up when she’s spotted driving her bright blue beach buggy around the island!
Joining the Norfolk Island Travel Centre in 2003, Debbie is one of our Senior Consultants. She says her job is incredibly rewarding as it allows her to share her passion for the island by bringing people here to discover and enjoy it for themselves – “our ‘product’ is so good that it is a joy to sell”. As far as the friendliness of Norfolk Islanders are concerned she says you Ca’ beat et (can’t beat it)!
Debbie’s hot Norfolk Island travel tip: If you really have no choice then come for a long weekend – but those that do always wish they’d stayed longer!
