Late Summer Holiday
Cool down with a late summer holiday in February on Norfolk Island by choosing from our excellent array of holiday ideas and Events.
You’ve survived the chaos of Christmas and New Year socialising – so now is the time to escape for a reviving easy break, to recharge the batteries and get ready for the year ahead. We have Hot Deals you can choose from, or can help you select from a range of properties and ideas to design your perfect customised escape.
There are also many Events on in February.
Clay Target Shooters are most welcome to join in the Norfolk Island International Clay Target Championships from the 5th to 10th February. With the Club House and range overlooking spectacular Anson Bay you’ll have to challenge yourself to keep your eye on the target and not the view!
If a small group painting retreat is more to your fancy there are two to choose from. Tony Zammit will be returning to the Island from 11 – 18 February and with over 30 years’ experience painting in oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastels and pen and ink, he equally works with beginners to more experienced artists. Sydney based artist Susan Farrell has so loved bringing groups to Norfolk Island and her next trip is from the 20th to 27th February. Participants will depart with a wonderful new body of work as Susan expertly engages and teaches across a variety of techniques and genres. As an artist what you will find on Norfolk Island is incredible inspiration from the sheer beauty, colour, historic settings and range of landscapes available.
We can guarantee that veteran aged golfers will absolutely love competing and socialising with the locals at the 2017 Norfolk Island Veterans Golf Tournament from 13 to 17 February. To be eligible you’ll just need to be aged 50 years and over – there are 3 aged divisions. The Norfolk Island Golf Club is located in World Heritage listed Kingston and the course includes the 4th/12th where you’ll (hopefully) hit over the cliff edge and a beach to the green! A wonderful golfing week on Norfolk Island.
But if bowling is more your thing then the South Pacific Pairs Bowling Tournament will inspire from 20 to 24 February. Genuinely friendly and welcoming is the reputation on the Norfolk Island Lawn Bowls Club, and with accommodation located just 5 minutes walk from the Club, bowling holidays on Norfolk are easy as well!
And finally at the end of the month we have an event that will get you up and dancing and is just filled with fun, fun, fun! Line Dancing with Kate Simpkin runs from 26 February to 3 March and delivers on the dancing, socialising, holiday and – did we say fun, factor! Among other activities, you’ll find yourself dancing at dress-up evenings, flash-mob style, and while bare-foot bowling.
Whatever your interests, you’ll find inspiration aplenty for a late summer holiday in February on Norfolk Island. We’d love you to join us!
