Join us next spring on Norfolk Island for a week of fresh seasonal produce with a focus on the gardens and flora of this magical South Pacific Island
From coast to coast, subtropical Norfolk Island features rolling green hills, quaint winding roads and behind the hedges treasure troves of beautiful gardens. The A&H Show is a highlight on the Norfolk Island calendar that brings together the whole community with displays of cooking, art, floral arrangements, flowers, fresh vegetables, fruit and more.
A week of gardens – and more!
There really is something about gardening that non-gardeners envy but also find inspiring. Perhaps they too could have such beauty surround them and share in some of the deep satisfaction that comes from watching plants prosper and bloom.
While usually a solitary or couple's activity, when gardeners get together to share knowledge, successes and challenges, their enthusiasm and passion shines through. Few places is this more clearly seen than during the Norfolk Island Gardening Week.
Norfolk Island is located almost mid-distance between the Australian mainland and New Zealand and it is this isolation that has resulted in it being an incredible destination for anyone interested in gardening. The island is home to not only the ubiquitous and endemic Norfolk Island Pine, (Araucaria heterophylla) but also another 51 endemic plants and 174 natives.
