Event Details

Join us next spring on Norfolk Island for a week of fresh seasonal produce with a focus on the gardens and flora of this magical South Pacific Island

From coast to coast, subtropical Norfolk Island features rolling green hills, quaint winding roads and behind the hedges treasure troves of beautiful gardens. The A&H Show is a highlight on the Norfolk Island calendar that brings together the whole community with displays of cooking, art, floral arrangements, flowers, fresh vegetables, fruit and more.

No. 10 Quality Row Garden

A week of gardens – and more!

There really is something about gardeners that non gardeners envy but also find inspiring. Perhaps they too could have such beauty surround them and share in some of the deep satisfaction that comes after working in a garden and watching plants grow and bloom. While usually a solitary or couples activity, when gardeners get together to share knowledge, successes and challenges, it is their enthusiasm and passion for gardening that shines through. On Norfolk Island this is most clearly seen during the Norfolk Island Gardening Week.

Norfolk Island is located almost mid-distance between the Australian mainland and New Zealand and it is this isolation that has resulted in it being an incredible destination for anyone interested in gardening. The island is home to not only the ubiquitous and endemic Norfolk Island Pine, (Araucaria heterophylla) but also another 51 endemic plants and 174 natives.

You’ll love meeting the cheeky goats on the Hilli Goat Tour and then delicious dishes created by their owners from the produce of their garden - and the goats!
At the A&H Show you’ll be sure to appreciate displays of the Island’s best cut flowers and arrangements, agricultural produce and arts & crafts. Ticket entry is included. This is a really fun day to share with the locals. Two lovely meals will book-end your week starting with a Welcome Dinner at Castaway Hotel and a final night at Paradise Hotel.

Your small island community all worked so well to ensure we all felt so welcome. Friendly waves from the locals; smiles; helpful; accommodating. AWESOME holiday.
