Not only is Kate the Director of Nuline Dance Sydney and a multiple winner of the Australian Line Dancing Teacher of the Year Award, she is also passionate about Norfolk Island and making sure her trips are fun filled.

ITINERARY
Day 1 – Friday 15 May 26 Depart Sydney – Arrive Norfolk
This morning, look for Kate at Sydney International Airport for your short flight to beautiful Norfolk Island. Kate will be wearing bright yellow and asks that you wear a RED top for easy identification. Wutawieh? Welcome to Norfolk! On arrival be transferred to Aloha Apartments in the heart of the Burnt Pine shopping area. Aloha Apartments offers a comfortable and convenient "home away from home" experience on Norfolk. Strategically situated in the heart of Burnt Pine, Norfolk Island's main shopping and cafe district, Aloha Apartments boasts an excellent central location. Guests can easily walk to clubs, shops, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. Despite being in the bustling town centre, the apartments are set on private, landscaped grounds, offering a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. It's also just a short drive from attractions like Emily Bay beach and historic Kingston. Your rental vehicle awaits you near your apartment and Kate will have a welcome with you all in the Aloha function room. The evening is at leisure and no doubt Kate will lead you off on an adventure and a reservation will be made for you at one of Norfolk’s clubs. To make life easier we’ll send ask you for a pre-order before you leave home. (Dinner at own expense)
Day 2 – Saturday 16 May 26 (B, L Syd guests only, D) Depart Brisbane – Arrive Norfolk/Island Life Tour (Syd guests) / Welcome Everyone!
Brisbane guests make your way to Brisbane International Airport for your flight. On arrival on Norfolk you’ll be transferred to Aloha Apartments and Kate will catch up with you all in the Aloha function room.
Meanwhile for the guests who arrived yesterday from Sydney breakfast is at High Tide Café this morning. Your Island Life Tour is this morning and you’ll be picked up at Aloha Apartments. Today you’ll tour the island gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. Your guide will share the latest information on the island's ethnic groups, nationalities and languages spoken, including the Norfolk Island indigenous language. Hear how and where islanders are born, educated, find work and careers, attend their various churches, are cared for in advancing years and eventually accorded free burial in a carefully tended community graveyard. Experienced leaders will explain the eight original family groups, how their cultural traits are fostered, valued and maintained in today's daily life. Learn about how the island generates its electricity, gains its supply of gas, ships in petroleum products, food and the material needs of life. The making of roads, the maintenance of medical, health services and environmental issues are explained. How modern life is experienced in Norfolk Island is what this tour is all about. The tour includes morning tea and concludes with a delicious lunch at the Boatshed Restaurant. The afternoon is at leisure so why not check out the shops in Burnt Pine or grab the car keys and start exploring.
This evening everyone will be transferred to The Castaway for a welcome function. Enjoy a cheese platter and delicious wood-fired pizzas washed down with a glass or two of something refreshing.
Day 3 – Sunday 17 May 26 (B, L Bne guests only, D) Island Markets/Island Life Tour (Bne guests) / Norfolk RSL
Breakfast is at High Tide Café this morning. This morning visit the Norfolk Island Markets where the locals will be delighted when you give them a line dancing demonstration. This morning please wear a bright top and black pants and you’ll do several demonstration dances this morning. Norfolk’s Sunday Markets are lots of fun and a hub of activity rain, hail, or shine. You’ll find arts and crafts, jewellery and woodwork as well as some delicious home-made treats.
After the markets this morning Kate invites you to join her for a peaceful beach walk at Emily Bay. Drive your rental vehicle down to Kingston and enjoy Norfolk’s golden sand beaches on this optional outing.
Sydney guests have the rest of the day at leisure whilst Brisbane guests have lunch at The Boatshed restaurant followed by their Island Life Tour during the afternoon.
Tonight, get your Aloha on! Hawaiian shirts, muu muus, grass skirts and leis are the order of the evening and everyone will be transferred to Norfolk’s RSL for a delicious dinner and some entertainment. It’s Hawaiian night!
Day 4 – Monday 18 May 26 (B, L, D) Dance Workshops / Light Lunch / Op Shop / Country Hoedown Fish Fry
This morning jump in the car and head to Governor’s Lodge for a delicious breakfast in the Boatshed restaurant. Mid-morning dancing workshops commence at Rawson Hall and will be followed by a light lunch in the supper room at the hall. This afternoon the local Op Shop will be expecting everyone to visit to see what bargains can be had for dress up! Such a great way to support a local organisation that looks out for the community.
Tonight don your best country gear as the group is transferred to Orn Dar Cliff for a Country Hoedown. A Norfolk Island Fish Fry is a highly popular event and you’ll enjoy a feast of local dishes, including mouth-watering fresh fried fish, traditional salads, and homemade coconut bread. You'll also find local specialties like 'Pilhi' (savoury banana slice) and 'Ana' (a special sweet potato mash with local herbs), and coconut pie and cream for dessert. Coffee and tea are included, and you can purchase beer and wine or BYO.
Day 5 – Tuesday 19 May 26 (B, AT) Dance Workshops / Tea & Trivia / Dance at Rawson Hall
This morning you’ll make your way to the South Pacific Resort Hotel for a delicious breakfast followed by a dance workshop at Rawson Hall. This afternoon you’ll make your way to Bailey’s Restaurant for Tea and Trivia! A Tea Party at Baileys begins with a glass of sparkling wine followed by tea and a delicious assortment of treats including scones, finger sandwiches, hot and cold savouries and delectable cakes, and slices. Whilst you’re enjoying the treats that ringleader of revelry Kate will conduct her own trivia competition. Good luck to everyone and remember Kate’s game, Kate’s rules!
What did you find at the Op Shop on Monday? Tonight make your way to Rawson Hall for an Op Show themed social. Prize for the best dressed!
Day 6 – Wednesday 20 May 26 (B, L, D) Breakfast Bush Walk / Dance Workshops / Hippies in the Garden
This morning you’ll be collected by Pinetree Tours for a breakfast bush walk. The longer walk heads past Mount Bates, the island's highest point, leading to the Captain Cook Monument. This walk provides stunning panoramic views of the coastline and the offshore rock formations like Bird Rock and Elephant Rock. Or you may prefer a shorter gentler walk through Palm Glen Reserve. This option is perfect for those who prefer a relaxed pace, still offering the chance to appreciate the lush vegetation and sounds of the bush. The best part is at the end of both walks everyone meets up for a delicious cliff-top breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and bacon and choice of cereal.
Head back into town and work off that breakfast with another dance workshop before a light lunch in the supper room at Rawson Hall.
Late this afternoon get your hippy gear on and you’ll be transferred to Bounty Bar and Grill where you can dance in the garden. This beautiful historic island home is nestled amidst lush, park-like grounds so it’s the perfect place to turn up the volume and enjoy dancing in the great outdoors. When you’ve worked up an appetite the staff will serve you a delicious array of hot and cold finger food. Enjoy a cold glass of wine and have another dance.
Day 7 – Thursday 21 May 26 (B, D) Breakfast Orn dar Cliff / Dance Workshops / Line Dancing in the Wild / Presentation Night
This morning make your way out to Orn dar Cliff. After a delicious breakfast your dance workshops this morning will be in the shed. The theme is Jungle so grab those animal prints and make your you have flat shoes on or are ready to go barefoot. Finish up with a cuppa and piece of cake before heading back into town. This afternoon there will be line dancing in the wild for a great Norfolk photo finish. Kate will let you know the location closer to the date.
This evening you’ll be transferred to the Paradise Hotel for your presentation dinner and social. It’s Black and Bling tonight so pull out those little black dresses and don the rhinestones! It promises to be a great night for the final hurrah on Norfolk.
Day 8 – Friday 22 May 26 (B) Depart Norfolk – Arrive Sydney
This morning make your way to the South Pacific Resort Hotel for the group’s final breakfast together. Sadly it’s time to say goodbye. Sydney guests will be picked up late morning for transfer to Norfolk Island Airport for the flight home. Brisbane guests have the rest of the day and evening at leisure and a final dinner tonight with Kate. We’ll make a reservation for you somewhere fun.
Day 8 – Saturday 23 May 26 (B) Depart Norfolk – Arrive Brisbane
Oh no it’s time to go. Guests departing to Brisbane will be transferred to Norfolk Island Airport in time for their flight home.
